Slow Graffiti a.k.a. Christian Alvarado is a Los Angeles producer. his sharp sense of production and genre blurring remixes has easily brought him notoriety across the pond. Beginning in 2013 with the single “Hey!!” gaining airplay on BBC 1, Graffiti has released a successive row of original tracks and remixes all experimenting with high-energy Hip hop and Trap.
Not long after hitting the airwaves overseas, Graffiti was named "Future Star Of 2014" by BBC 1 Broadcaster Annie Nightingale. He has Also received praise from Mad Decent's Diplo, who handpicked a Two tracks off the album Los Angeles for his Diplo and Friends Triple AAA Mix.
Entering 2017 Slow Graffiti is still collaborating and furthering his reputation; albeit with some new players and the same stark titles, reminding us that the perfect mix is just as valuable as a precious metal. Gold saw Graffiti tap Miami's MC Drell "Crystal", making a seamless continuation from the title track off the album VI, which featured the LA-based Figueroa on vox.
Bringing MCs to the fold has proven Graffiti's versatility, though it's only one maneuver of his production cache that brims with nuances coalescing in open-ended 808 beats. Any of the tracks on Battles seem to merge dissimilar elements, such as drug-induced Witch house and euphoric sound design on the track "Sorry", or zapping orchestral plods and skittering double-timed high hats on "Weekend Song".."
As great a sacrifice it has been for Graffiti, so too has been the reward. With the announcement of his record label, Home Records, comes a venture that will assure Slow Graffiti plenty of traction in 2017.
